Bellmawr Planning Board Authorizes Anderson Ave. Preliminary Investigation; Public Hearing June 4

The Bellmawr Planning Board approved a Resolution on April 2, 2018 authorizing Remington and Vernick to assist the Board in a preliminary investigation regarding 191 Anderson Avenue, Block 80, Lot 2.

According to the Resolution, Remington and Vernick are engineers authorized “to conduct such studies as are necessary to assist the Planning Board in conducting a preliminary investigation as to whether the designated property satisfies the criteria of redevelopment area …”


At their March 22, 2018 meeting, Bellmawr Council passed a Resolution authorizing the Planning Board to undertake this investigation.

That Resolution #03:100-18 reads in part: “Inquiries have been made to the Borough of Bellmawr from parties interested in potential commercial development of the subject site for a low impact, low traffic office and storage location for an existing business in the Borough that is presently being relocated; and it is possible that the property may potentially be declared an area in need of redevelopment under the New Jersey Redevelopment Law.”

A concept plan was developed in November, 2016 when it was proposed that the now demolished Hugg-Harrison House could be relocated to that area.


Public Hearing

A Public Hearing has been set for Monday, June 4, 2018 at 7:00 p.m.

Focused Partners, LLC

Focused Investment Partners, LLC was also granted Preliminary and Final approval at Monday’s meeting.

That Resolution is expected to be approved at the Planning Board’s next meeting on Monday, May 7, 2018.
