Mt. Ephraim Teachers Picnic for Schools

(Mt. Ephraim, NJ) — Teaching is “no picnic” as they say, unless you are a teacher in Mt. Ephraim! The Mt. Ephraim Education Association (MEEA) recently collected close to $200 in donations for the community-based Mt. Ephraim Education Foundation. District teachers, counselors and school nurses participated in the project. Rallying at the Mt. Ephraim Craft Fair on April 30th, the school faculty provided fun activities for children and parents on a “picnic” theme.

“It’s great to be able to step out of the classroom and into the community, amongst our students and their families, to help raise money for the Education Foundation,” said Art teacher and event organizer, Luke Bowe. Children had fun playing against their teachers for a donation in “picnic” themed games including Corn Hole, Ladder Ball and Magnetic Darts to the sounds of famous “picnic” songs like “The Ants Go Marching One By One” and “Teddy Bear’s Picnic.” Tables were decked out in checkered tablecloths. Participants were also able to enjoy soft pretzels and water for a donation to the Foundation.
