Today, the students at the Larc School in Bellmawr were treated to an early Christmas surprise: a special visitor from the North Pole – Santa Claus.

Santa Claus came to the school courtesy of the Bellmawr Fire Department and he was escorted by Bellmawr EMS and the Camden County Department of Corrections.
The students at the Larc School had the chance to meet and to visit with Santa and he gave each one a gift bag filled with a fleece blanket, a stuffed animal, and a coloring book.
Susan Weiner, the Executive Director of the Larc School, said she is grateful to all of Camden County and especially to the Camden County Corrections officers “who are so kind and thoughtful to take care of our students and community.”

Karen Taylor is the Warden of the Camden County Correctional Facility. She said it’s a pleasure for the officers to bring Christmas cheer to the students. “We take great pride in making sure that we can give back to the community.”
As Taylor watched while some officers interacted with the students and others continuously filled a long table lined with the students’ gift bags, she said: “This is the best because it’s children with Santa.”
Santa also didn’t forget the teachers.
In addition to each student receiving a gift, all of the Larc School teachers received presents as well. “We appreciate the teachers for all that they do,” Taylor said.
