“Over the past two months we have seen the average age of infected persons in Camden County drop from approximately 47 to approximately 31, underscoring the reality that young adults are driving the spread of this disease,” said Freeholder Director Louis Cappelli, Jr. “We are seeing similar trends play out across the country, but house parties and other large gatherings are significant factors in our state’s recent uptick in cases. Although we are extremely fortunate that this virus does not seem to be as severe when infecting young adults, we need them to step up and help control the spread of coronavirus so that others can be protected and our region can move forward with reopening our economy.”
