When reporting for stories, I really do try to just put information out there — facts only, and I don’t like to play guessing games, but let’s make an exception for this post and have some fun.
I was curious to know when the Pennant East property sold and for how much, so I did a search of online property tax records. I learned it sold in late 2019, but care to venture a guess for how much?
To give you a moment to collect your thoughts and to come up with a number, I’ll put the sale price right after the video showing the demolition of this beloved local hotspot.
Drum Roll, Please
The property sold for $1,490,000 on December 12, 2019.
Before that, the property sold for $290,000 on June 27, 2018.
In September, 2018 the property was listed for $2 million.
Well, that’s a nice chunk of change. Who knew the Pennant was worth that much? In any event, I guess I’ll be holding onto this stack of “Pennant East Original Night” passes that the demolition guys gave me. Who knows, maybe one day they will accumulate in value, but I won’t hold my breath.
