Camden County
On April 16, 2021, the Camden County Department of Health (DOH) announced six new deaths caused by novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in Camden County, as well as 122 additional cases of the disease.
This brings the aggregate number of confirmed positive cases to 45,729 in Camden County today and 1,150 total fatalities.

“It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of six additional Camden County residents due to COVID-19. Our thoughts and prayers continue to be with the victims and their families,” said County Commissioner Director Louis Cappelli, Jr. “We can prevent additional unnecessary suffering caused by this virus if we keep our guard up and fight to the finish line. We need everyone to get vaccinated as soon as they are able, and we have to continue protecting one another by social distancing and wearing masks. The end of this battle may be nearing, but we have to do our part to get there.”
To date, 342,576 COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered in Camden County.
There are 210,610 people with at least one vaccine dose, and 147,840 people who are fully vaccinated.
In addition, the county Department of Health is also announcing 2,370 confirmed resident cases and 1,370 staff cases have occurred out of the aggregate case load of 45,729 in the county’s 56 long-term care facilities. At this time, 466 resident deaths have been reported from these facilities, as well as seven staff deaths, out of our 1,150 total fatalities countywide.

The investigations are still ongoing, and the public will be updated with new developments as the information is gathered by investigators.

Gloucester County:
On April 16, 2021, Gloucester County announced an additional 133 cases of COVID-19.
As of April 16, 2021, Gloucester County has conducted 169,213 total tests.
Of these cases, 144,495 have come back negative.
Gloucester County’s total positive COVID-19 case count is now 24,718.
Gloucester County has reported 562 deaths.

New Jersey’s current Rt value (as of Wednesday morning) is 1.41. That means every 10 people with COVID-19 are infecting over 14 other people. It’s not good. Wear your masks and wash your hands frequently. It’s not that big a sacrifice.
