Gloucester City to Hold Municipal Land Sale on March 1

The public sale of municipal land will take place at the City Municipal Building.

The City of Gloucester City is holding a public sale of municipal land at the Office of the City Municipal Building, 512 Monmouth Street, Gloucester City on Tuesday, March 1, 2022 at 10:00 a.m.  

The Local Lands and Buildings Law (N.J.S. 40A:12-1 et seq.) authorizes a municipality to sell any real property that is not needed for public use.


On December 23, 2021, the Mayor and Common Council of the City of Gloucester City approved Resolution #R-273-2021, Authorizing the Advertisement for the Sale of Lands for a minimum bid price as follows:

  • 227 Morris Street (Block 20, Lot 17) $25,000

The parcels will be sold at a public auction sale, to be conducted by Howard C. Long, Jr., Esquire, City Attorney, for the City of Gloucester City, or his designee.
