Kacy Banks, 26, of Philadelphia, has been arrested and charged for the fatal shooting of a man that occurred on February 22, 2023, reported Camden County Prosecutor Grace C. MacAulay and Gloucester Township Police Chief David Harkins.
On February 22, 2023, at approximately 3:05 a.m., the Gloucester Township Police Department received a 911 call for a person shot at the 800 block of the North Black Horse Pike in Gloucester Township.
Gloucester Township Police officers arrived at the scene and located a man who had been shot.
The victim was identified as 28-year-old Tarik Green of Millville. Green was transported to Jefferson Hospital in Stratford, and he was pronounced deceased at 4:43 a.m.
Following an in-depth investigation by the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office Homicide Unit and the Gloucester Township Police Department, Banks was charged with the following offenses for the fatal shooting of Green: first-degree felony murder, second-degree unlawful possession of a weapon, and second-degree robbery.
On March 15, 2023, Banks was arrested in Philadelphia, by the U.S. Marshals Service New York/New Jersey Regional Fugitive Task Force. Banks remains in custody in the Philadelphia Jail, pending extradition to New Jersey.
All individuals charged with crimes are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
