Murphy Administration Announces $47.3M in Bridge Grants; Each County to Receive $1M + Additional Funds Based on Deck Area

NJDOT announced that 47 Local Bridges, Future Needs grants totaling $47.3 million have been awarded to help counties maintain local bridges in a state of good repair. These are the largest bridge grant awards in New Jersey history, almost doubling the amount of funds previously provided to counties across the state.

Bellmawr Schools $794K State Aid & Insurance Discussed at Bellmawr Council Meeting; BDA & Salary Ordinances Remain Tabled

Councilman Ray Bider said that it was decided at a recent BOE meeting that due to the uncertainty of the July 3 fire at Ethel Burke School that the $794,000 additional State Aid money will be put into 2018-19 budget with usage to be determined at a later date.

Medford Twp. Pastor Harry Thomas, 75, Sentenced to 18 Years for Sexual Assault of Minors

Harry Thomas, 75, a Medford Township pastor was sentenced to 18 years in New Jersey state prison for sexually assaulting four juveniles and for having inappropriate interaction with a fifth one over a multi-year period ending in 2015.

Atlantic City Electric Using Helicopters to Inspect Local Power Lines
