Gloucester City Police arrested a Glendora man and charged him with burglary, theft, and possession of hypodermic syringes. On March 29, Nicholas Larocca was working in the area of Morris Street and allegedly pried open the front door of a neighboring residence, removed scrap metal and personal property that belonged to the owner.
The formal Budget presentation for the Borough of Bellmawr will be held on Thursday, April 27 at 7:00 p.m. at next month’s Council meeting.
Bellmawr Council passed a Resolution authorizing the Borough to submit an application to the New Jersey Local Finance Board for permission to create the “Bellmawr Redevelopment Agency.”
Following a traffic stop in Brooklawn, police officers from Brooklawn and Gloucester City recovered a loaded .44 revolver in the trunk of a car. A Camden man was taken into custody and was later found to have hidden 40 bags of suspected heroin in his anus.

Officers from the Gloucester City Police responded to a report made in early morning hours of March 24 for two females fighting in the dressing room of Cheerleaders on Route 130. Officers determined a female had assaulted another female for using lotion without permission because her knees were ashy
The rectory at St. Joachim (Annunciation) has been demolished to make way for a new parking area along with new entrances and exits on the property. This is due to the ongoing I-295/I-76/Route 42 Direct Connection interchange project.
The Borough of Bellmawr has uploaded the proposed Resolutions that Council will vote on during the March 23, 2017 monthly meeting.
The Bellmawr School Board has approved the tentative 2017-18 budget. The average home assessed at $168,832 will see an increase of approximately $30.
The Mt. Ephraim Police Department is investigating a shooting incident that occurred on March 18. Police believe this was an isolated incident and not a random act. Anyone with information related to the shooting is asked to contact Mt. Ephraim Police.
