Authorities Investigating Fatal Shooting of 14-Year-Old in Camden

The shooting victim had attended a birthday party event at the Elks Lodge on Mt. Ephraim Avenue. Detectives of the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office Homicide Unit and Camden County Police Department were notified and responded to the scene.

Detectives are investigating the fatal shooting of a 14-year-old male in Camden City last night, reported Camden County Prosecutor Grace C. MacAulay and Camden County Police Chief Gabriel Rodriguez.

On Saturday, December 3, 2022, at approximately 9:32 p.m., Camden County Police Department received a 911 call advising that there were gunshots fired around the 1800 block of Mt. Ephraim Avenue.


A shooting victim was located and was unconscious. EMS arrived on scene and transported the victim to Cooper University Medical Center.

The shooting victim had attended a birthday party event at the Elks Lodge on Mt. Ephraim Avenue. Detectives of the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office Homicide Unit and Camden County Police Department were
notified and responded to the scene.

The victim was subsequently identified as a 14-year-old male from Lindenwold and he was pronounced deceased at 10:04 p.m. at Cooper University Medical Center.
