Authorities Investigating Glassboro Homicide

In the early morning hours of December 9, Officers from the Glassboro Police Department responded to a residence on the 200 block of University Boulevard for a report of gunshots.

On Friday, December 9, 2022, at approximately 1:06 am, officers from the Glassboro Police Department responded to a residence on the 200 block of University Boulevard for a report of gunshots.

Upon arrival they cleared several occupants from the residence and located a male deceased in a bedroom on the second floor.


The deceased male was identified as 22-year-old Travon A. Barker-Bordley of Glassboro.

An autopsy of Barker-Bordley conducted on December 9, 2022, by Gloucester County Medical Examiner Dr. Gerald Feign ruled the cause of death as multiple gunshot wounds and the manner of death as homicide.

While the investigation remains ongoing, there is no ongoing risk to the local community. Additionally, it should be noted that this incident did not impact, nor occur at, Rowan University.
