Bellmawr Boro Hall Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

Bellmawr Borough Hall is officially ADA Compliant, thanks in large part to a $106,051 Camden County Block Development (CBDG) Grant.

On May 25, 2017, there was a ribbon cutting ceremony at Bellmawr Borough Hall to celebrate newly completed renovations that make the building ADA (Americans With Disabilities Act) compliant.

The Camden County Board of Freeholders awarded the Borough of Bellmawr $106,051 in Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds for renovations to the entranceway of the Bellmawr Municipal Building in March 2016.

Those funds were used to install a handicap accessible door and chair lift to the building’s entrance. Renovations were also made to the building’s stairs to become compliant with regulations under the Americans with Disabilities Act.

Camden County Freeholder Director, Lou Cappelli, said: “It is imperative that we make sure all of our citizens can access public services and employees. That’s why it’s so important that we help our municipalities become, and stay, ADA compliant.”
