Bellmawr Council Votes Not to Rescind BDA or Commissioner Appointments

Bellmawr Council voted not in favor the Ordinance and Resolutions that called for rescinding the Bellmawr Redevelopment Agency (BDA) and the commissioner appointments.

At their October 18, 2018 Caucus meeting, Bellmawr Council voted to untable two Resolutions and an Ordinance with respect to rescinding both the Bellmawr Redevelopment Agency (BDA) and also the commissioner appointments to the BDA.

When the matters were brought to a vote, Council voted not in favor of those Resolutions and the Ordinance — so the BDA and the commissioner appointments remain and have not been rescinded.

Councilman Ray Bider, Jim D’Angelo, Paul DeAngelis, and Steven Hagerty voted yes. Councilman Steve Sauter was absent from the meeting. Councilman Jamie Casey arrived late and did not vote.

The subject of rescinding the BDA and the commissioner appointments was first brought up at the March, 2018 Council meeting.
