Bellmawr Council’s March 23, 2017 Resolutions

The Borough of Bellmawr has uploaded the proposed Resolutions that Council will vote on during the March 23, 2017 monthly meeting.

The Borough of Bellmawr has uploaded Council’s proposed Resolutions in advance of its March 23, 2017 meeting.

Among the Resolutions that Council is looking to approve include:


•The establishment of a Cap Bank for calendar year 2017.

•The participation in an electronic Tax Sale Pilot Program.

•Entitling the Borough of Bellmawr to apply for Community Block Development Funding in the amount of $35,800 for 2017-18 for the reconstruction of Center Avenue from Park Drive to Catherine Avenue.

•Establishing tonnage grants in order to encourage local source separation and recycling programs in local municipalities.

•Authorizing the submission of a Camden County Open Grant Space Application for recreation enhancements to the Scott Merulla playground area (The Recreation Center). The enhancements will include the removal of existing aging playground equipment and the installation of new equipment that meets NSF standards.

•Authorizing the submission of a Camden County Open Space Grant Application to add two courts with players’ benches and also to apply athletic seal paint to both courts at the Bellmawr Recreation Center.

•Authorizing an emergency appropriation in the amount of $15,145.00 to repair an 8″ water main located under the Browning Road Bridge due to a vehicle collision.

•Authorizing the use of an alternate tax collection rate.

Mayor and Council will meet on Thursday, March 23 at 7:00 p.m. in the courtroom of Borough Hall.
