Bellmawr Man Pleads Guilty Related to March, 2020 Incident Where He Fired Handgun at Police Officers; Bullet Went Through Neighbor’s Home

Bellmawr Police officers responded to a home on Catherine Avenue for a report of a man pointing a gun at two others.

Logan Vancamp, of Bellmawr, pled guilty on October 13, 2021 to Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon and Fourth Degree Aggravated Assault, according to Andrew Kramer, Public Information Officer from the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office.

Vancamp faced numerous charges following a March 28, 2020 incident where he fired a gun at police and the bullet went through a neighbor’s home where a child was sleeping.


Shortly after midnight on March 28, 2020, Bellmawr Police officers responded to a home on the 100 block of Catherine Ave. for a report of a man pointing a gun at two others.

The three responding officers said Vancamp pointed a handgun at them and fired a single shot before dropping the weapon and laying down on the driveway.

After investigating, police found the bullet went through the bedroom of a neighboring home before stopping inside the bathroom.

Vancamp’s sentencing was scheduled for January 14, 2022, but was postponed until March 4, 2022.
