Bellmawr Ranks #9 in Annual List of Top Ten Camden County Towns

Bellmawr has ranked #9 as a Top Ten Camden County Town in South Jersey Magazine’s 2019 annual “Top Towns” list.

In 2017 and 2018, the Borough ranked #8.

To help determine this year Top Towns’s rankings, the editors at South Jersey Magazine “spent time factoring in various aspects of what makes each town stand out from the pack.”

Data from the New Jersey State Police, the New Jersey Department of Education, and the state’s Division of Local Government Services were used to compile the list.

A weighted formula was used which combined average property values and taxes, crime incidents reported per 1,000 residents and high school performance numbers (consisting of average SAT scores, high school graduation rates and more). The rankings were then broken down into two categories: a population of more than 10,000 (big towns) and smaller than 10,000 (small towns).

This year, Moorestown placed first in the 2019 Top Ten Overall category and also placed first as Top Ten Burlington County Town.
