Bellmawr native Buddy Robinson recently made history when he scored the first short-handed playoff goal in San Jose Barracuda history. The goal also marked Robinson’s third short-handed goal of the season.
Robinson was traded to the SJ Barracuda in January, 2017 from the Ottawa Senators’ AHL affiliate. He said in a January interview that he was “ready to produce.” The 6’6″, 232 lb. right handed left-winger has played in a total of 36 games for the Barracuda, including three playoff games, and scoring 12 times — 10 during the regular season and twice so far during this playoff series.

During the final seconds of Friday’s match-up, Robinson “sealed the victory with an empty netter at 19:45.” Final score was 5-3.
In a best-of-five series, the SJ Barracuda are ahead of the Stockton Heat 2-1 in round one of the Calder Cup Playoffs. The Barracuda are looking to clinch the series with a win today at Stockton in game 4 of the series. Puck drops at 4:00 p.m. (PST).
