Of this chapter, Heath explains: “The letters reflect Browning’s love of running, his family, and South Jersey. The thousands of hours he spent writing these letters honed his great writing skills, which ultimately led to the masterful Long Distance Running Magazine. Not sure if he spent the 10,000 hours Malcom Gladwell said were a key for excellence in Outlier, but Ross certainly did spent a lot of time writing.
