Boro of Westville to Purchase Westville Square For $295K For Redevelopment; More Details Will Be Announced in Near Future

The building will be redeveloped by a developer to assist with the borough’s ongoing downtown revitalization efforts.

At their Special Meeting on March 10, 2022, Westville Borough Council unanimously approved Ordinance No. 2-2022 – Authorizing the purchase of Westville Square located at 201 Broadway.

According to Mayor Fritz Sims’ Meeting Recap:


After coming out of the executive session, council unanimously approved the purchase of 201 Broadway (Westville Square) for $295,000 for the express purpose of continuing efforts to revitalize the downtown business district.

A resident from West Olive Street addressed Mayor and Council and asked what are the plans for the building and was informed that the building will be redeveloped by a developer to assist with the borough’s ongoing downtown revitalization efforts.

Councilwoman Domico thanked Dominic Juliano from DELCO Development Group for his presentation and for patiently responding to the numerous questions asked by council members specific to the project.

Mayor Sims concluded the meeting by stating that tonight’s vote will be a turning point in Council’s ongoing efforts with the redevelopment and revitalization of the downtown area. Mayor Sims thanked the residents for their patience as the executive session was very long which allowed Council to have their concerns addressed and their questions answered. Mayor Sims also confirmed that more details will be announced in the near future regarding the redevelopment of this property and thanked council for approving the purchase of 201 Broadway.
