2016 Bellmawr AuditCouncilman Ray Bider addressed the findings and the audit during Council’s July 27, 2017 monthly meeting. “The 2016 audit was completed by Bowman, reviewed by the Finance Committee, and was posted on Bellmawr.com for you to read in its entirety.”

As for highlights of the audit, Bider said: “In 2015, the Borough had five findings that needed to be corrected. It went down to two in 2016. During 2017, the two have been corrected or are being finalized right now. The Corrective Action Plan that was recommended by Bowman is being done and has to be given to the local government office in August.”

Bider continued: “We will go over what the actions will be. But, we are very proud that [the corrective actions] went from five to two and those two have been almost entirely corrected.”

In April, Councilman Paul Sandrock spoke about the recommendations from the 2015 audit by saying that the findings presented the opportunity to develop best practice policies. “We feel confident that we’ve addressed [the findings] that have been pointed out in our audit…[and] that we should show great improvement for any type of audit in the future.”
