Brooklawn Man Arrested for Alleged Child Abuse

A Brooklawn man was arrested and charged with alleged child abuse (cruelty/neglect) and simple assault. The Brooklawn Police Department and investigators from the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office arrested Robert M. Valent, 25, of Brooklawn, on November 2 stemming from an investigation with the Division of Child Protection and Permanency.

Woman Charged With Aggravated Assault on Law Enforcement Officer

Jessica Illa Rodriguez, 29, of Camden was placed under arrest on November 5 and charged with aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer. She was also charged with driving while under the influence and numerous other motor vehicle summonses following her involvement in a single motor vehicle crash that occurred on the Brooklawn East Circle.


Through further investigation, it was determined that Rodriguez was found to be operating the vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs. When she was transported to police headquarters, she became extremely combative and spit on an officer. Rodriguez was remanded to the Camden County Jail in default of $50,000.00 bail.

Other police activity for the month of November:

November 3, 2016

Officers stopped a male jumping the dividing wall on Route 130. The male provided officers with false information regarding his identity. Through further investigation, officers obtained his true identity as David Grant Lewis, 34, of Hammonton. Lewis was found to be a wanted person by the Atlantic County Sheriff’s Department. He was charged with hindering his own apprehension and remanded to the Camden County Jail to await extradition to the Atlantic County Jail.

Also on November 3, Joshua Paul Williams, 28, of Brooklawn, Shawn Lee Rowe, 36, of Brooklawn, and Maurice Everett Atkins, 37, of Westville were in front of the 12 building of the Brooklawn Norse Apartments consuming an alcoholic beverage. Williams was found to have outstanding warrants for his arrest. He was placed under arrest and charged with prohibited consumption of alcohol. He was processed and released on his own recognizance. Rowe was mailed a summons for prohibited consumption of alcohol. Atkins was found to have an outstanding warrant. He was arrested and charged with prohibited consumption of alcohol and released on his own recognizance.

Officers stopped a suspicious vehicle in the Motel 6 parking lot occupied by three females on November 3. Through further investigation, officers located numerous pieces of drug paraphernalia inside the vehicle. All three females were placed under arrest Linda Michelle Dannenhauer, 37, of Woodbury, Elizabeth Lyne Ollek, 32, of Wenonah, and Shannon Lauren Clancy, 37, of Thorofare. Dannenhauer was also found to be in possession of cocaine. Dannenhauer was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance and drug paraphernalia. Ollek was found to be in possession of a prescription pill that she did not have a prescription for. She was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance and drug paraphernalia. Clancy was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.

November 7

Tina Rose Danese, 21, of Turnersville was arrested for shoplifting at the Shoprite. The accused attempted to conceal over $100.00 worth of merchandise. She was charged with shoplifting and released.

November 9

An officer stopped a male in the area of Rt. 130 and King’s Highway. The male was found to be providing the officer with false information. Through further investigation the male was identified as Gregory Scott Wirt, 49, of Turnersville. He was found to have active warrants for his arrest. He was charged with hindering and turned over to Deptford Police for outstanding warrants.

November 11

Salvatore John Petito, 25, of Chesterfield was stopped for a motor vehicle violation. During the course of the motor vehicle stop, he was found to have an active warrant for his arrest. The passenger of the vehicle James Barry Maxwell, 24 of Bordentown was also found to be wanted out of Burlington County and Pennsylvania. Officers located numerous bags of heroin, drug paraphernalia, and Oxycodone pills in the vehicle. Petito was charged with 3 counts of possession of a controlled dangerous substance (CDS), possession of a hypodermic needle, and failure to properly dispose of CDS. Maxwell was charged with possession of marijuana under 50 grams, possession of a hypodermic needle, possession of drug paraphernalia, two counts of possession of a CDS. Petito was released on his own recognizance. Maxwell was remanded to the Camden County Jail to await transfer to Burlington County.

During the course of a motor vehicle stop Christopher Michael Drager, 26, of Hamilton was found to be in possession of heroin, hypodermic needles and empty wax paper. The passenger Brian Patrick Senick, 32, of Blackwood was found with a hypodermic needle loaded with heroin, heroin, and empty blue wax paper. Both were charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance, possession of hypodermic needle and possession of drug paraphernalia. Both were released after posting bail.

November 12

During the course of a suspicious motor vehicle in the Motel 6 parking lot officers arrested a 34-year old female from Mantua. She was found to be in possession of heroin and hypodermic needles and charged with possession of a CDS and possession of hypodermic needles. She was released with a pending court date.

Kenneth Howard Barton, 19, of Gloucester City was stopped for a motor vehicle violation. Through further investigation he was found to be in possession of a glass pipe with marijuana residue. He was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and released with a municipal court date.

Officers responded to the 100 block of Pershing Road for a female who had an active warrant for her arrest. Officer’s located Kimberly Marine Smith, 28, of Brooklawn and she was arrested for receiving stolen property. She was processed and released with a pending municipal court date.

Daniel Anthony Rocca, 30, of Turnersville was stopped for a motor vehicle violation. Through further investigation he was found to be in possession of two bags of cocaine, seven bags of heroin, one Alprazolam pill, two viles of marijuana, and one hypodermic needle. He was charged with three counts of possession of a CDS, possession of marijuana under 50 grams, and possession of a hypodermic needle. He was released on his own
recognizance.

Fortunate Giuseppe Martino Jr, 34, of Clementon was stopped for a motor violation. Through further investigation, he was found to be in possession of a hypodermic needle and an empty glass vile used to store CDS. He was charged with possession of a hypodermic needle and drug paraphernalia. He was processed and released.

November 13

Kathleen Anne Brodzik, 26, of Marlton was located on the property of the Motel 6. She was charged with defiant trespass after she was informed she was no longer allowed on the premises from a prior incident. Through further investigation she was found to be in possession of a empty piece of wax paper stamped “Hell Fire.” She was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and released with a court date.

November 17

Officers responded to Shoprite for a report of a shoplifter in custody. Before the officers arrived, the female pushed the loss prevention officer causing a bruise on his arm. The female was identified shortly after and a warrant was issued for the arrest of Tessie Small, 28, of Franklinville. On December 1, Small was picked up by Paulsboro Police Department and transported to Brooklawn Headquarters where she was charged with robbery. She was remanded to the Camden County Jail.

November 18

Andrew John Olsack, 46, of Williamstown was stopped for a motor vehicle stop. During the course of the investigation, officers located a crack pipe in the accused vehicle. He was charged with possession drug paraphernalia and released.

November 23

Officers observed a male urinating in public. Through further investigation officers located cut straws, empty wax paper, and clear bags. He was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and disturbing the peace and then turned over to Washington Township Police.

November 24

Ishfaq Ahmed, 56, of New York was stopped for a motor vehicle violation. Through further investigation he was found to be operating the vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs. He was issued numerous motor vehicle summonses and released to a sober adult.
