Brooklawn’s Ming Kui Lau Property Sold For $960K; Site Work Has Begun For New AutoZone Store

Site work is underway at the former Ming Kui Lau, which closed its doors in early June to make way for an AutoZone. The property sold on June 5, 2018 for $960,000.

Site work has begun at the former Ming Kui Lau located in the Brooklawn Shopping Center. The Ming Kui Lau closed its doors in early June to make way for a new AutoZone.

An online property records search shows that the property sold on June 5, 2018 to AZ Brooklawn LLC for $960,000.

SJO previously reported that in March, 2018, the Brooklawn Planning Board granted minor site plan approval for an approximate 6,800 square foot AutoZone retail store with accessory on-site parking, loading area, identification signage and related site improvements. The second floor of the Ming Kui Lau restaurant will be removed and an approximate 1,200 square foot building addition will be constructed.

The photograph taken by SJO on October 29, 2018 shows that fencing surrounds the site and work has begun at the site.
