Camden Vicinage Drug Court to Celebrate 25th Anniversary Oct. 26

The vicinage’s drug court program, which began in 1996, has 614 participants and has graduated 809 participants.

Assignment Judge Deborah Silverman Katz announced today that the Camden Vicinage will celebrate the 25th anniversary of its drug court program with the graduation of 48 participants at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 26.

The ceremony will be live-streamed from Camden County College, where the Camden County Bar Association will award a scholarship to a graduate who has excelled in the program.

Superior Court Judge Kathleen M. Delaney, the vicinage’s drug court judge, will preside, and retired Superior Court Judge Stephen M. Holden will present the scholarship on behalf of the Camden County Bar Foundation.

Graduation speakers also will include Camden County Assistant Prosecutor Greg Audino and Assistant Deputy Public Defenders Katina Chase and Lou Presenza.

The Judiciary’s drug court program addresses nonviolent, addicted offenders.

The program requires completion of four phases of intensive drug and alcohol treatment and recovery, under court supervision.

The graduates have completed the rigorous requirements of the program.
