Camden Vicinage to Celebrate Law Day 2022 With Virtual Event on May 18 at Noon

The national theme for this year’s Law Day is “Toward a More Perfect Union: The Constitution in Times of Change.”

Assignment Judge Deborah Silverman Katz announced on May 9, 2022 that the Camden Vicinage will celebrate Law Day with a virtual event on Wednesday, May 18 at noon.

The national theme for this year’s Law Day is “Toward a More Perfect Union: The Constitution in Times of Change.”

Students from schools across Camden County will view a video recording, which will feature attorneys CJ Griffin and Troy Archie.

This will initiate a discussion before a real-time virtual question-and-answer session between the students and a panel of judges.

Trial Court Administrator Colleen Lore will give opening remarks and Superior Court Judge Gwendolyn Blue will provide closing remarks.

The program, sponsored by the vicinage in partnership with the Association of Black Women Lawyers of New Jersey and the Camden County Bar Association, is made possible with funding from the New Jersey State Bar Association and the IOLTA Fund of the Bar of New Jersey.

Law Day is a national event established by President Dwight D. Eisenhower in 1958 as “a day of national dedication to the principles of government under law.”
