CSL Plasma Applies to Brooklawn Planning & Zoning Board for Change of Use Approval to Operate Blood Plasma Donation Center

The application will be heard virtually on Jan. 27, 2021.

CSL Plasma has applied to the Borough of Brooklawn Planning and Zoning Board for change of use approval to operate a blood plasma donation center.

The proposed location is at the intersection of Browning Lane and Crescent Boulevard (and designated as Block 125, Lot 1 on the Borough’s Tax Map).


No new construction is proposed.

SJO reached out to Maria Branson, Planning/Zoning Board Secretary for the Borough of Brooklawn to ask if the donation center will be located in the part of Brooklawn Shopping Center in the vicinity of DaVita Dialysis is located and Ms. Branson believed that it was.

In connection with the application, the applicant seeks additional exceptions, waivers, design waivers, variances, etc. and other approvals reflected on the filed plans.

There will be a virtual public hearing on the application on January 27, 2021, at 7:00 p.m.

Pursuant to Governor Phil Murphy’s Executive Orders 103 and 107, the public hearing will be held by online/virtual means and/or telephonically only.

During the virtual public hearing, any interested party will have an opportunity to listen to and, if participating online, view the hearing in its entirety, be heard (ask questions, provide comments or offer evidence) by either participating online via Zoom or telephonically.

The Application and supporting materials will be available for public inspection at least 10 days before the virtual public hearing.
