The Cumberland/Gloucester/Salem Vicinage is seeking volunteers for its Courthouse Visitors Assistance program to aid visitors at the Justice Complex in Woodbury.

The Courthouse Visitors Assistance program allows members of the community to participate in greeting and directing court users, including litigants, attorneys and visitors, to their proper destinations.

Under the direction of court staff, volunteers are equipped to answer questions and aid in person or by phone. They also serve as a central welcome/information center for the court complex or a specific division.

Volunteers also maintain and distribute brochures or relevant forms regarding court services as well as assist with tasks. Those tasks could include data entry, filing, sorting and distributing mail, and making photocopies.

Courthouse visitor aids will gain a broad insight and knowledge of the court system and county offices.

Flexible schedules are available and training will be provided. For more information about becoming a volunteer, contact the Gloucester County volunteer services liaison at 856-878-5050, ext. 15158.
