Detectives Investigating Fatal Hit & Run in Lindenwold

Detectives are searching for a light-colored sedan, possibly a Tesla, with front-end damage and a dark-colored pickup truck, unknown make and model.

The Camden County Prosecutor’s Office Crash Response Investigation Team (CRIT) and the Lindenwold Police Department are investigating a hit-and-run motor vehicle accident that killed a pedestrian, reported Camden County Prosecutor Grace C. MacAulay and Lindenwold Police Chief Michael P. McCarthy Jr.

On Thursday, December 8, 2022, at approximately 5:42 p.m., officers from the Lindenwold Police Department were dispatched to the 600 block of South White Horse Pike for a motor vehicle accident involving a pedestrian. The pedestrian was identified as Dal B. Baruwal, 53, of Somerdale.


Baruwal was treated at the scene by EMS and paramedics and he was then transported to Jefferson-Stratford Hospital. Baruwal was pronounced deceased at approximately 6:37p.m.

The Camden County Prosecutor’s Office Crash Response Investigation team was notified and responded to the scene for further investigation.

Detectives are searching for a light-colored sedan, possibly a Tesla, with
front-end damage and a dark-colored pickup truck, unknown make and model.

This remains an active and ongoing investigation.
