Detectives Investigating Fatal Shooting of 65-Year-Old Man, Shooting of 54-Year-Old Woman in Camden

On Friday, December 16, 2022, the Camden County Police Department received a ShotSpotter activation for shots fired at 3:20 a.m., in the area of the 100 block of North 25th St. in Camden.

Detectives are investigating the fatal shooting of a 65-year-old man and the shooting of a woman early this morning, reported Camden County Prosecutor Grace C. MacAulay and Camden County Police Chief
Gabriel Rodriguez.

On Friday, December 16, 2022, the Camden County Police Department received a ShotSpotter activation for shots fired at 3:20 a.m., in the area of the 100 block of North 25th St. in Camden City.


Responding officers arrived at the scene and located two individuals suffering from gunshot wounds.

One male victim was transported to Cooper University Hospital and was pronounced deceased at 3:30 a.m. The male fatal shooting victim was identified as 65-year-old Clint Leavy of Camden City.

A 54-year-old female victim of Camden City was also transported to Cooper University Hospital for a gunshot wound. She is in critical condition.
