GCPD Announces Arrest of 25-Year-Old Man on Charges of Narcotics Distribution & Weapons Offenses

On January 24, 2023, Gloucester City Police Department Defectives and the Camden County Sheriff’s Department Emergency Response Team executed a narcotics search warrant at a residence on the 300 block of Essex Street in Gloucester City.


The search warrant was the culmination of a distribution of narcotics investigation.

As a result of the search warrant execution, the following items were seized: a defaced firearm, a 30-round magazine, hollow nose bullets; U.S. currency; quantities of heroin, crack cocaine, cocaine, methamphetamine, and drug paraphernalia.

Jacques Davis, 25, of Gloucester City, was arrested and charged with the following offenses:

  • (1) count – 1st Degree Maintaining/Operating a CDS production facility
  • (4) counts – 2nd Degree Possession of CDS with intent to distribute (Heroin, Crack Cocaine, Cocaine, Methamphetamine)
  • (4) counts – 2nd Degree Possession of CDS with intent to distribute within 1,000 of a school (Heroin, Crack Cocaine, Cocaine, Methamphetamine)
  • (4) counts – 2nd Degree Possession of CDS with intent to distribute within 500 feet of a public park (Heroin, Crack Cocaine, Cocaine, Methamphetamine)
  • (4) counts – 3rd Degree Possession of CDS (Heroin, Crack Cocaine, Cocaine, Methamphetamine)
  • (1) count – 2nd Degree Unlawful possession of a weapon
  • (1) count – 2nd Degree Possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose SJO
  • (1) count – 2nd Degree Possession of a firearm while committing a CDS offense
  • (1) count – 3rd Degree Possession of a defaced firearm
  • (1) count – 3rd Degree Possession of a large-capacity magazine
  • (1) count – 2nd Degree Certain persons not to possess a firearm
  • (1) count – 4th Degree Possession of hollow nose bullets
  • (1) count – Disorderly Persons Offense – Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Davis was remanded to the Camden County Correctional Facility pending a detention hearing.
