Excitement is building and installation is underway for the unveiling of the new exhibits at John Heinz National Wildlife Refuge at Tinicum. The new visitor center experience will showcase habitat, local community outreach, youth programs, and future programs the refuge has in the works.

Additionally, the exhibits highlight the importance of volunteer support and partnership in both shaping the history of the refuge and the ability of the refuge to maintain relevancy locally and nationally. The exhibits are not only a reflection of the work done to get to this point, they highlight the current and future community conservation projects.

The public is invited to the Grand Opening of the new exhibits on June 30th at 1:00 p.m.

This free, family event will include guest speakers, exhibitors, and partners with fun and educational activities designed to keep the whole family active and outdoors. The event includes introductions to fishing, nature walks, guided shuttle tours, archery, and live animals.

The Grand Opening event is designed to allow people of all ages to connect with the great wild resources of our area, learn new skills, and get involved in preserving our public lands and waterways.
