Jennifer Long Joins United Way of Gloucester County To Make a Difference

Ms. Long will serve as the liaison for partner agencies, coordinate United Way initiatives, and work with community volunteers on the Community Impact Cabinet, Event Committee and Women United.

United Way of Gloucester County recently hired Jennifer Long as the Director of Community Engagement. Long will serve as the liaison for partner agencies, coordinate United Way initiatives, and work with community volunteers on the Community Impact Cabinet, Event Committee and Women United.

“We are excited to have Jennifer join our team,” said Michael Gower, Executive Director of the United Way of Gloucester County. “With her experience and motivation to help others, she will grow our organization’s
presence in the community.”

Long is a Master in Public Administration Candidate at the University of North Carolina Wilmington, where she has focused her studies on public management and grant writing.

Prior to graduate school, she worked in operations management. Long has held many volunteer positions in North and South Carolina, supporting public and nonprofit organizations in a number of ways.

“I’m thrilled to be a part of the United Way of Gloucester County,” said Jennifer. “I’m looking forward to making a difference in the community and helping others have better lives.”

The United Way of Gloucester County is a nonprofit organization dedicated to being the leader in building community capacity to foster individual well-being.

Focusing on education, financial stability and health, the United Way of Gloucester County supports over 25 programs and initiatives for Gloucester County residents.
