Jewish Family Service of Atlantic & Cape May Counties (JFS) ‘Soup’er Bowl campaign topped the high score of the ‘big game’ by collecting more than 300 cans of soup.

To help combat hunger in the community, the hearty soups will be distributed to individuals and families in need to assure they have hot and filling meals throughout the year.

“This was JFS’ third ‘Soup’er Bowl collection and we are thankful to the residents and businesses who donated hundreds of canned soups filled with chicken, meat, and vegetables,” said Andrea Steinberg, JFS Chief Executive Officer. “With food insecurity still prevalent in the region, JFS is grateful to be able to assist people right here in the community.”

In 2022, the JFS Food Pantry distributed more than 60,000 pounds of food to over 8,825 Atlantic County residents, including 3,220 children. In addition, JFS provided 2,652 Kosher Meals on Wheels to older adults and homebound seniors.

With the need for food and basic necessities continuing to escalate, JFS has become a ‘go-to’ pantry for local residents.
