Just in Time For Summer: Washington Township Police Announce Bomb Pop Ice Cream Truck

The truck was purchased through forfeiture funds and with the support of the Washington Township Rotary. No tax dollars were used.

The Washington Township Police Department is proud to announce its newest tool: a Bomb Pop Patrol Ice Cream Truck.

The Washington Township Police Department continues to be at the forefront of Community Caretaking by actively seeking new and innovative ideas to engage and create positive experiences between the Washington Township Police Department and our residents.

The newest police vehicle, a 2023 Dodge “Bomb Pop” Ice Cream Truck will help reach even more members of the community.

The new ice cream truck was unveiled on May 25th at the Washington Township Senior Center where officers handed out free ice cream and frozen treats to the township’s most valued residents.

Purchased through forfeiture funds and the generous support of our Washington Twp Rotary, no tax dollars were used. “We will have endless ice cream courtesy of our awesome community,” Washington Township Police Pat Gurcsik Chief said in a media release.

This one-of-a-kind and state-of-the-art transit van will be utilized in various capacities to engage our community partners throughout the year.
