Juveniles Find Deceased Male in Wooded Area in Crescent Trailer Park in Gloucester City

Gloucester City Police have announced that a deceased individual was found on July 14, 2018 in the Crescent Trailer Park. Officers were directed to the location of the body that was found by several juveniles.

On July 15, 2018, Gloucester City Police announced that a deceased individual was found on July 14, 2018 at 4:37 p.m. when officers responded to the wooded area north of the Crescent Trailer Park for a report of a found body.

Upon arrival, the officers were directed to the location of the deceased, who was found by several juveniles.


“The body was badly decomposed and appears to have been there for some time,” the media release states.

The investigation by the GCPD Detective Bureau and the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office is still ongoing. However, the cause of death appears to be the result of an overdose.

On July 17, the GCPD provided an update stating that the deceased has been identified as Brandon G. Laxton, 26. He was a resident of Runnemede and had family members living in the Crescent Trailer Park.

and his name is being withheld at this time pending notification to family members.
