Medical Examiner Rules Paulsboro Deaths as Accidental Carbon Monoxide Poisoning

On Dec. 13, police were dispatched to a detached garage on Monroe Street in Paulsboro for a report of two unconscious males.

On Tuesday, December 13, 2022, at approximately 11:00 a.m., the Paulsboro Police Department was dispatched to a detached garage on E. Monroe Street, Paulsboro for a report of two
unconscious males.

Upon arrival, both males were found deceased inside the detached garage, which was utilized as a vehicle repair shop.


The two deceased individuals are 73-year-old Lloyd M. Campbell, owner of the E. Monroe Street property, and 63-year-old Allen E. Nicholas, Jr. of Mantua.

On Wednesday, December 14, 2022, Gloucester County Medical Examiner Gerald Feigin conducted the post-mortem examination and ruled the cause of both deaths as carbon monoxide poisoning and the manner as accidental.
