Medical Marijuana Cultivation, Processing & Manufacturing Facility Proposed for Monroe Township

The Monroe Twp. Zoning Board will hear an application for a medical cannabis cultivation, processing, and manufacturing facility. After state licensing approvals are obtained, site plan approval will be submitted.

An application for a medical cannabis cultivation, processing, and manufacturing facility will be heard before the Monroe Township Zoning Board of Adjustment on Tuesday, July 2, 2019 at 7:00 p.m

According to a recently published Legal Notice, Courtney Skversky (the “Applicant”) has requested “use (or d1) variance relief to permit the processing and manufacturing, including industrial processes, of medical cannabis and medical cannabis products on the property and, if required, use variance relief to permit the cultivation of medical cannabis.”


The Legal Notice also states that the applicant will submit site plan approval after state licensing approvals are obtained.

The property is located at S. Black Horse Pike and 2353 S. Black Horse Pike, Monroe Township, Gloucester County, New Jersey and also identified as Block 8601, Lots 7 and 8 on the tax map for the Township of Monroe.

A portion of the property is located in the Rural Development Agricultural (RD-A) District and the remaining portion of the property is in the Regional Growth Commercial (RG-C) District.

The applicant also requests any variances, waivers or other relief that the Board deems necessary and/or appropriate.

Any persons interested in the application will be given an opportunity to be heard at the public hearing of the Zoning Board of Adjustment to be held on Tuesday, July 2, 2019 at 7:00 p.m. at the Municipal Building, 125 Virginia Avenue, Williamstown on the first floor in the Court Room.

The application, plans and all documents related to the proposed project are available for public inspection prior to the public hearing in the office of the Zoning Board of Adjustment between the hours of 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday.
