Metro Diner Posts Letter in Reponse to Possible Wawa Deal 

On its Facebook page, the Metro Diner has posted a letter to their customers and employees in response to a possible deal where the popular diner would be sold to make way for Wawa.

On its Facebook page, the Metro Diner has posted a letter to their customers and employees in response to a possible deal where the popular diner wold be sold to Wawa.

The letter states: “NO DEAL is set in stone until it happens. Many variables may not allow the deal to go through. In addition to that, the deal may take up to two to three years to be completed.”


SJO reported that according to a published Legal Notice, the Brooklawn Planning Board will consider the application of  LCP Brooklawn on June 14, “for preliminary and final major site plan approval, with variances, to demolish an existing diner and construct a new Wawa convenience store, approximately 5,585 square feet, and fueling station.

On June 4, 2018, a sign was posted on the Metro Diner’s door that they were closed.
