Mt. Ephraim: Left Turn Lane at W. Kings Hwy. & Black Horse Pike Has Been Widened

The left turn lane at West Kings Highway and Black Horse Pike in Mt. Ephraim has been widened. Additionally, a “Do Not Block” box has been painted at West Kings Highway and James Street.

Earlier today, the Mt. Ephraim Police Department temporarily shut down West Kings Highway from James Street to the Black Horse Pike for road work that was being done.

A post made on the Mt. Ephraim Police Department’s Facebook page explained:

“The Mt. Ephraim Borough Commissioners had gotten the approval from the State to widen the left turn lane at West Kings and Black Horse Pike. This will enable the turning lane to hold a larger volume of traffic, hopefully reducing the number of vehicles passing over the double yellow line in order to get to the turning lane; also reducing the traffic congestion at that intersection during higher traffic times of the day.”
