Mt. Ephraim PD Announces Arrest Following Theft of “Large, Expensive Lawn Decoration”; Vehicle Also Damaged While In Process of Theft

On August 11, 2022, the Mt. Ephraim Police Department signed charges for two counts of criminal mischief and one count of theft. 

On August 5, 2022 the Mount Ephraim Police Department received a report of a theft and criminal mischief that occurred on Valley Road. 

“The theft included a large, very elaborate and expensive lawn decoration (as many of our local residents may have come to admire and enjoy),” the Mt. Ephraim Police Department stated on Facebook. “During the initial investigation, officers determined that the actors also caused damage to a neighbor’s vehicle, while in the process of committing the theft.” 


Continuing investigative efforts involving Officers Kind, Vogt, Jeffries, and DSG Sullivan resulted in the identification of a primary suspect. 

“We received an overwhelming amount of assistance from the public on this one and we’d like to thank all of those that stepped up for their community; it would have been a difficult case to crack without all of you,” the post reads. 

On August 11, 2022, the Mt. Ephraim Police Department signed charges for two counts of criminal mischief and one count of theft. 

The charges were served on summonses after arrest. 

All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
