According to the listing, the sale price includes five buildings: a church, school, gymnasium (a former small church), a residential home, and a two car garage.

The church was built in 1963. It is one story, alarmed, has 600 seat capacity, along with a choir loft, basement and commercial kitchen.

The school was built in 1947. In 1952, a full second story added to the first floor. It is a U-shaped structure that has three wings and a central corridor, basement, multi-purpose rooms, classrooms, several storage rooms, a utility room, office, and boiler room.

The residential home was built in 1942 and has central heating and air conditioning.

It features a kitchen, two full bathrooms, four bedrooms, a basement, and two car detached garage.

The current zoning is residential with permitted uses of retail, residential, day care, school, and religious facilities.

The property also falls within the Central Business Redevelopment area for Mt Ephraim, which is an area that is recognized as in need of redevelopment.

Potential uses are expanded to include commercial uses, either professional office use or retail use as well as residential use. Presently, the property is tax exempt.

According to an article that was posted on the Catholic Star Herald on May 7, 2010, Sacred Heart was originally a mission of St. Rose of Lima, Haddon Heights. “Sacred Heart was established as a parish in 1939. In 1954, a mission was established to serve the Audubon Park area, which became Holy Maternity Parish in 1957,” the article states.

In June 9 2010, Sacred Heart and Holy Maternity merged to create Emmaus Catholic Community.

In mid-2014, Emmaus Catholic Community became a part of Haddon Heights’ St. Rose parish. (Source: Parishes online)
