Gloucester County residents will soon get a first look at the newly remodeled Walmart Supercenter at 3501 Route 42, Turnersville as the much-anticipated project is now complete.

The remodel includes several department transformations that will help customers save time.

Re-Grand Opening

The store will celebrate its re-grand opening Friday, September 23 7:30 am with a brief ceremony honoring associates, recognizing local fire and police departments with a $2,000 donation to each organization – and offering product samples from a variety of vendors.

“The Turnersville Walmart has a long history of serving customers and the community,” said Candice Bailey, store manager. “The store opened 31 years ago and was Walmart’s first store in New Jersey. In fact, we still have seven associates who helped open the store back in 1991. And since day one, we’ve been focused on our associates, innovation, community service, and helping customers save time and money.”

Customers Will Enjoy the Following Store Improvements:

  • New Pharmacy Location: From its former location in the middle of the grocery department, the pharmacy has moved to the front of the store so customers can get their prescriptions, vaccinations, and other supplies in a more convenient fashion.
  • Improvements at Checkout: To streamline checkout for customers, the store added a new associate-operated register lane.
Refreshed interior and exterior: Including paint and signage for easier navigation through the store
