Bellmawr Council introduced and approved on first reading on April 25, 2019 an Ordinance amending the Borough Code that will prohibit “the entry of dogs or other domestic animals onto the athletic fields and all recreational facilities within the Borough of Bellmawr.”

Last year, Councilman Jim D’Angelo asked residents not to use the Bellmawr Girls Softball fields as a place to run dogs saying that there were incidences of people not cleaning up after their dogs. Locks were installed as a preventative measure.

All other business on Council’s meeting agenda was approved, including a Bond Ordinance authorizing the completion of various capital improvements for the Borough’s water utility system — appropriating the sum of $448,000.

It was also announced by Mayor Chuck Sauter that there will be a Kick Off the Summer Concert on Friday, June 21, 2019 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Bellmawr Recreation Center featuring Quaker City String Band.
