Poll workers are needed across the region to work at polling centers during the early voting period of Oct. 23 through Oct. 31 and on Election Day, Nov. 2.

Applicants can earn $14.29 per hour working on early voting days and $275 for the day to work on Election Day.

To apply go to www.PollWorker.NJ.gov or call (856) 401-8683.

“We encourage all Camden County residents, particularly those who cannot get to the polls in person on Nov. 2, to make sure their voices are heard by utilizing mail-in ballots or the early voting period at the end of October,” said Commissioner Director Louis Cappelli Jr. “That said, we are in need of poll workers for the upcoming General Election and anyone who is looking to make some extra money and would like to perform a critical public service should contact the Camden County Board of Elections.”

Residents are always needed to work on Election Day for processing voters who come to the polling place to vote.

By law, Boardworkers must be registered to vote, and either be Democrat or Republican.

An unaffiliated voter may declare their party and then be eligible to work as a Boardworker.

Training is mandatory and a Boardworker must be recertified every two years. Boardworkers are paid for each Election Day.
