Public Input Sought at Camden County Community Development Program Virtual Public Hearing March 1

Prior to the submission of the Annual Action Plan, Camden County is holding two virtual Public Hearings on March 1, 2022 at 11 am and 5 pm.

Camden County will be initiating planning for the FY 2022 Annual Action Plan, which is funded by the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD); also, federal HOME Investment Partnership (HOME) funds, Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) funds.

Funding amounts for FY 2022 have not yet been determined for these programs.


For planning purposes, Camden County assumes it will receive approximately the same amounts received in:

FY 2021:

  • $2,532,716 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG)
  • $210,714 Emergency Solutions Grantv (ESG)
  • $1,133,695 HOME Investment Partnership (HOME)

The County intends to submit their application (Annual Action Plan) on or before June 1, 2022 to the HUD Newark Office.

Prior to the submission of the Annual Action Plan by the County Commissioner Board in May 2022, the County is holding two virtual Public Hearings on March 1, 2022 at 11 am and 5 pm.

These Public Hearings are being scheduled in the initial stages of development of the Annual Plan.

Camden County wishes to obtain comments and views of citizens, public agencies, and other interested parties for the planning process for allocation of federal Community Block Grant funds in the County.

The information received from interested persons at the hearing will assist the County in the preparation of the 2022 Annual Plan.

All interested individuals and organizations are encouraged to attend this hearing and offer their views and comments on the housing and community development needs of the County.

In lieu of in-person attendance, the public may attend and join this meeting via teleconference call or Zoom webinar.

The log-in information will be posted on the County’s website prior to the meeting.

Those unable to attend may submit written, signed comments by the dates of the public hearings.
