ShopRite Dietitians Donate Time & Check for $160,000 to the Food Bank of South Jersey

In-store retail dietitians from ShopRite recently volunteered at the Food Bank of South Jersey in Pennsauken. In addition to donating their time, the dietitians also presented the Food Bank with a check for $160,000.

According to the Food Bank of South Jersey, 200,000 people in South Jersey are struggling with food insecurity. That’s 200,000 people that are struggling to gain access to a basic need.


ShopRite is doing its part to help. On Wednesday, July 10, in-store retail dietitians from ShopRite volunteered at the Food bank of South Jersey in Pennsauken, NJ. In addition to donating their time, the dietitians also presented the food bank with a check for $160,000. This contribution marks the supermarket’s annual donation through its ShopRite Partners in Caring initiative.

About The Food Bank of South Jersey:
The Food Bank of South Jersey distributes 12.5 million to over 150 partner agencies in order to offer food access to nearly 200,000 people struggling with food insecurity in the 4 county service area of Salem, Burlington, Gloucester, and Camden Counties.

Volunteers assist daily with sorting and packing food for distribution to those agencies.
