SJO’s Guidelines For Comments and Letters to the Editor

You’ve read an article on SJO and have something to say about it? Great! But, before you sound off, please keep in mind that SJO reserves the right to edit a comment or not post a comment that may contain libelous or slanderous information.

You’ve read an article on South Jersey Observer, have something to say about it and would like to post a comment under an article. Or, would you like to speak your mind by submitting a letter to the editor to be published on SJO?

Great!

But…before you sound off, please keep in mind that SJO reserves the right to edit or not post content that:

  • Contains potentially libelous or slanderous information.
  • Does not contain facts or substantial proof to back up a statement.
  • Contains profanity.

While SJO does not require that readers post under their real names, please remember that we can be sued for statements that appear on SJO that are unfounded or could be construed as potentially libelous or slanderous.

Your email address will not be published, will not be shared with anyone, and will only be used to get back in touch with you for clarification or verification purposes.

SJO also reserves the right to change these guidelines at any time.

We appreciate your understanding.
