Somerdale Planning Board to Consider Application for Four-Story Self-Storage Facility Within Cooper Towne Center Redevelopment Area

A four-story, approximately 112,387 sq. foot self-storage facility with on-site parking is planned.

The Somerdale Planning Board will hold a public hearing on November 17, 2021, at 7:00 p.m. at the Borough’s Municipal Building to consider the application of Kennedy Management & Consulting, LLC, for Preliminary and Final Site Plan approval to permit the construction of a four-story, approximately 112,387 s.f., self-storage facility with on-site parking, consisting of 18 parking spaces and 4 loading spaces, along with signage.

The 1.862-acre property is identified as Block 1, Lot 17 on the Official Borough Tax map and is located within the Cooper Towne Center Redevelopment Area.


The property is currently vacant, and the proposed self-storage use is a permitted use pursuant to the Redevelopment Plan, as amended by Ordinance 2021:12, adopted by the Borough Council.

The Application does not require any variances.

The Applicant is requesting any variances or waivers deemed necessary by the Board or its Professionals.

The applications, plans, and supporting documentation are available for examination during normal business hours at the Office of the Planning Board, at the Borough’s Municipal Building, 105 Kennedy Blvd., Somerdale.

Absolutely disastrous. Do we really need another storage facility when there are several in the area.
