Judge Bernard J. DeLury, Jr. sentenced the defendant to concurrent eight-year terms in New Jersey State Prison, with five-year periods of parole ineligibility.
The crimes were discovered due to an investigation by DCP&P and detectives in the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office’s Special Victim’s Unit.
As a result of the guilty plea, Jaquan Dublin faces three concurrent sentences of 25 years in prison. He must serve the entire 25-year sentence without parole.
The State is expected to appeal the sentence since the court deviated from the original agreement and sentenced the defendant to a degree lower within the third-degree range.
