Despite Disagreement, Bellmawr Council Votes 5-1 to Raise Local Taxes

At their monthly meeting on May 24, 2018, Bellmawr Council voted 5-1 to approve Resolutions amending the 2018 Municipal Budget and adopting the 2018 Municipal Budget. The average home assessed at $167,500 will see an increase of $33.23 (locally), with a net increase of $53.64 overall.

At its Special Meeting on August 17, 2017 Bellmawr Council approved Resolution #08:178-17, authorizing a Bond Anticipation Note in the amount of $7,734,433.26. The purpose of the Bond Anticipation Note was to refinance it through First Colonial Community Bank at 1.440%.
